Graaff-Reinet Museums Genealogical Research

It’s that time of the year when visitors are trying their luck. They try to fit everything in including an unannounced visit to the museum to do research. We are so understaffed that we cannot embark on genealogical research when  visitors arrive at our doors, requesting immediate assistance. Denise and I are sometimes not  available as we man our respective museums and have to run up and down to do the research. I know visitors are sometimes very difficult but we do request them to make an appointment well in advance (not the day before) so that we may arrange someone to assist them, giving them undivided attention. In that way it will save them and us a lot of frustration! Can I ask you guys to inform them about this policy when they try to bully you? It’s also stipulated on our website that you have to make an appointment for genealogical research .
