We are a 5000 hectare proclaimed private nature reserve in the Nieu Bethesda/Graaff-Reinet region of the Great Karoo. Renowned for its rugged beauty and sense of space, Bergplaas is completely off the grid and home to wildlife such as eland, black wildebeest, red hartebees and blesbok.

Mountain biking and walking in the mountains is an ideal away to get away from city life and re-connect with nature.We have a self-catering cottage which sleeps three people or the main guesthouse which can sleep up to twelve.
