About Sneeuberg Nature Reserve
Kliphuis is situated in the Sneeuberg Nature Reserve, a 14 500 hectare private reserve, home to Nguni, a variety of antelope species, zebra, wildebeest and many other wildlife. Kliphuis provides an authentic yet luxurious Karoo experience and is ideal for a family or couple looking for a tranquil hideaway. This is a place to escape from the rat race, write, read, take long walks or simply relax. Elegant interiors with intricate stonework, reeded ceilings, wooden furniture, and luxurious linens contribute to the character of this idyllic escape. It is completely isolated from any buildings, stylishly decorated and well equipped.
At Kliphuis you are far away from everything. The nearest ‘main’ gravel road is about 4 km’s away. This house offers complete privacy and everything you need.
We are located in between Middelburg and Graaff Reinet. Driving from Graaff Reinet it will take you about one and a half hour to get there. Drive slow and take your time because there is a lot of wildlife to see on the way. When you leave the tar road for the gravel track, it’s about 33km to Kliphuis. You will be met by our management to take you to the house, because Kliphuis is definitely off the beaten track.
Things to do:
Cycling, 4x4 trails, swimming, hiking, game viewing, birding and star gazing.
