Samara Private Game Reserve is delighted to announce that their conservation journey continues with the reintroduction of lions to the reserve. The lions are set to arrive in August 2018 and will be the first free-roaming lions back on the Plains of Camdeboo in 180 years.

With all the talk of canned lion hunting and the trade in lion bones and body parts in recent months, Samara's lion reintroduction provides a welcome good news story for South African lion conservation
With this reintroduction, Samara will become a Big Five reserve since elephant, buffalo, black rhino and leopard are already present on the property.

We can't wait to hear their roars echoing through our valleys!
