Rainfall and Rising Dam Levels

Go Back

Wednesday, 17th April 2024

Over the past three weeks, going back to the 24th of March, Graaff-Reinet recorded a total of 103mm of rain, according to local resident Thinus Ferreira.

Everyone is grateful for the respite from the heat of Summer, and is excited for the dam levels having risen, and the prospect of the dam overflowing soon.

Farmers in the Graaff-Reinet district will be particularly grateful, as the rains water the veld, and revive parched lands. The vegetation around the area has recovered very well, and there is certainly a lot more greenery to be seen in the outlying areas.

Keep checking back for more news soon!
